Dedicated to the next generation of creators, the Initiative focuses on leather goods and accessories design, offering the winners an opportunity to join the creative studios and discover our Métiers.

In just 3 editions, the competition has attracted more than 700 candidates, produced 5 winners, and led to the recruitment of more than 30 talents across Louis Vuitton and LVMH.

The program will offer you:

This year, the competition marks a new evolution: the winner will be offered a permanent contract and will begin their journey with rotations through Retail (2 weeks), Prototyping (4 weeks) and three Design studio paths (9 months each), to choose from: Men & Women Leather Goods, Travel, Small Leather Goods, Hardsided, Accessories, Gifting and Jewellery.

 The Jury of Louis Vuitton experts selected Hanna Matera as the winner of the third edition. Hanna is a Polish designer who studied Experimental Jewellery and Cognitive Science before graduating in Design from the multidisciplinary school, Design Academy Eindhoven. This rich and singular combination of disciplines informs a creative practice that moves fluidly between materials, finishes, colour and shape, guided by a bold poetic vision, a strong sense of practicality, and a precise eye for detail and hardware design.

Her winning project is a tribute to the Monogram flower and the show collections of Nicolas Ghesquière, rendered in graphic black and white, with contrasting materials that conjure a woman at once whimsical and strong.

Exclusively open to final-year BA and MA students, the Initiative has partnered with a diverse selection of renowned international schools and universities of fashion, product design, and art.
