Learn how the LVMH Operations Academy's team ranked top 10 in a prestigious international business game

Empowering talents to exceed their potential

How does LVMH train their supply chain employees with 2-5 years of professional experience to better understand the realities of bringing a product to market? By offering stimulating and fun learning experiences such as the Fresh Connection challenge. Each year, selected teams from LVMH take part in this prestigious versatile learning experience to compete against other reputed luxury, retail and industry household names.

During this innovative online simulation, participants were asked to revive The Fresh Connection, a fictitious fruit juices manufacturer. By mimicking the issues that the company must face, the serious game asks the competing teams to handle various real-life dilemmas, in real-time, together as a team.

The four talents that made up the winning 2022 team were a testament to the multicultural and geographical expertise within the Group:

 • Nelly Renaudin - EDV Supply Chain Manager, Hennessy France
 • Fanny Le Gallo - Demand Planner, Moët Hennessy Europe
 • Nicolas Chaucheprat - Assistant Manager, Industrialization, Parfums Christian Dior China
 • Cecilia Chen - Assistant Planning Manager, SSC Perfumes & Cosmetics, China

Out of the 60 teams that joined the online challenge from all over the world, not only did the 2022 LVMH team place among the top 10, but they were also the highest-ranking team amongst all the participating French companies (L’Oréal, Essilor, Hermès, etc), achieving the best result ever registered by LVMH. The performance of the winning team is undoubtedly due to their exceptional level of commitment and motivation throughout the competition. In fact, the successful representation of LVMH’s global talent pool confirms our belief that choosing diversity is a winning strategy.

LVMH Operations Academy

At LVMH, a wide array of training opportunities are offered via the LVMH Operations Academy. The Supply Chain Academy is one of four main categories for the program, which offers courses around supply chain fundamentals to LVMH talents with 2-5 years of experience, to prepare them for The Fresh Connection game every year. Once contestants have been selected, the final participants benefit from two coaching sessions from a senior expert, Mylène Ghiron, LVMH SC leader in this case, to best prepare for the big challenge.

"Talent attraction and development is one of the key pillars of our LVMH Supply Chain Holding team. Among others, the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Academy we have developed is a fantastic way to help talents grow new skills and/or increase their level of expertise throughout their career within the Group.

With this 9th place acheivement in the Worldwide Fresh Connection competition this year, we obtained the best result ever with LVMH (far ahead of our usual competitors Essilor, L’Oreal, …) and I am super proud of the team's results but most of all motivation and involvement. It was a real pleasure to coach them all along the year ”

While theories may provide for smart strategies, being immersed in situations and applying learning to practical situations is equally important. LVMH talents are encouraged to widen their horizons and prepare for a career that may lead them to unexpected places. In a constantly evolving world, being able to adopt a cross-functional mindset in order to overcome adversity is what we seek out in our talent pool.
